Meet the People who make StoneCutter’s Martinborough Wines

Vineyard Owner - Anthony Olsen

Anthony purchased StoneCutter in 2015 from the original vineyard owners, who planted the vineyard in 1996, and built the winery in 1999 to produce their first vintage.

His Maori and Danish heritage are at the heart of the StoneCutter story, and his love of the land and hardworking nature are evidenced in every bottle.

You’ll most likely meet Anthony when you visit our Cellar Door and Tasting Room. He has a wealth of knowledge to impart, and enjoys sharing has passion for growing and producing great wine - an experience often raved about by those who come for a wine tasting.

Anthony also coordinates The Shearer’s Quarters - the vineyard holiday home within StoneCutter’s Martinborough vineyard.

Winemakers - Wendy Potts & Clare Miller

Our winemaker Wendy Potts is the artist who crafts our intensely flavoured grapes into exceptional wines. Working with small batches, our Martinborough wines are hand crafted to perfection, with Wendy overseeing every aspect of the winemaking process at our on-site winery.
